Twisted x Niyathi II - Navrathri Edition

Hey Lovelies ! Happy Navratri. I am coming up with a blog post which is long due. I figured this is the best time to post this one. Navrathri is the time for garbas and lehengas, sarees and big bindis. We celebrate Goddess Durga in every possible way. I want to travel to Kolkatta someday to witness the grand celebrations there and get inspired by all of it.

I am wearing a skirt and crop top stitched beautifully to perfection by Prathiksha Design House. The skirt has a lot of layers hence looks like princess cut design and all this has been achieved without buckram/ tutu.  I am matching my magenta lipstick(Famous by Huda Beauty) with my bindi.

The entire jewelry showcased in this post is by Niyathi Jewellery. Traditional and authentic silver necklaces which are completely handmade. You can also customise these beauties. Head over to their Instagram page or Facebook page to view their designs and place an order. If you ask me which is my favorite, I really cannot pick one, I love them all.
With Sindhu, the curator of Niyathi
The first design with the matching earrings is a traditional "Gutta Pusalu" . In Telugu "Gutta" means a shoal of small fish, "Pusalu" means beads. Gutta Pusalu is inspired by the Nizami jewelry of Hyderabad. It is mainly a bunch of tiny pearls strung together hanging from a gold chain. This design has originated in areas close to the ancient pearl fisheries along the Coromandel Coast. The next two designs are traditional temple Nakashi jewelry. The pendant necklace is really versatile. You can pair it up with Indo-western clothing as well.
