Pastel Professor

Summer was almost over in Sydney and I was glad to visit the place just before it hit Fall.  Sharing a few pictures from an impromptu shoot I had with Nagashree.

I have a million grey T-shirts but the need for them is never-ending. Oh, and I have excuses like - "this one is my gym grey but the other one is has a slightly longer sleeve". And this top from Topshop had me at the twisted knot with the amazing fit. This is why I love TopShop, I love their fit for my body type. Since this shoot was so unplanned I went ahead to mix and match clothes I had carried for the trip along with a light summer jacket. This skirt from Asos is so old that it can be literally pulled off as vintage! The skirt is actually beautifully faded from a blush pink to a beige tone. Fits like a charm and I cannot give this up for a few more years.

Minimal accessories included a pack of 5 rings from H&M and tassel earrings from this popular brand in Australia called Colette. I am wearing a rose pink fishnet socks with my gold toe suede Puma Trainers. One thing about this shoe is that it feels a little uneasy on my feet. It is not really meant for wide feet people like me. I am also carrying a rose gold colored bag from Michael Kors with a Gucci dupe stole from H&M tied around the sling.
I went for peachy makeup in contrast with the pinks. I am wearing my current favorite liquid lipstick from Too Faced in the shade Sell Out. Trust me this pinky-brown nude goes so well with Indian skin in contrast to all those nudes which are made for a lighter complexion. Along with this Powder Blush - Fleur De Lotus from Chanel I am wearing this bomb highlighter from my Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Geurriero Glow Kit in the shade Forever Lit. This is one shade I never thought I could pull. It is a blueish white highlighter which can be commonly mistaken to be a shade for the Fair or light complexion but I think it looks good on any skin tone. Try it and tell me how you like it?

I am adding a new section here to describe where you can wear this outfit. You can wear this outfit for casual lunch or breakfast dates, or a day out shopping. The skirt might be flirty and feminine but the shoes and the jacket say smart casuals. I would wear it for a sunny bright Sunday lunch which includes shopping after.
