Hey guys! I might not be the best person to blog about travel. But I decided to document a few activities that I really enjoyed doing during my trip to Australia.

Brisbane:
Brisbane is a beautiful city. There are a lot of touristy things to do here. The best thing about this city is the beautiful riverside, walk along the riverside to see the beautiful Brisbane skyline and stop by a cafe beside to view the passing ferries.
Do not miss walking around the story bridge in South Bank which is surrounded by a lot of bars and restaurants or enjoy the sun and take a dip in the man-made beach right across the story bridge.

Stradbroke North Island(Straddie):
This is undoubtedly the most beautiful island in Australia(or so I've heard). We did a day tour here but it wasn't enough. I recommend staying there for a day or two because there is so much to see. There are so many beaches and beautiful vantage points, the best being the cylinder beach to catch some sun, Point Look out where you get a view of the beautiful sea, the North Gorge Walk and Amity Point. Posting some pics of the beautiful time that we had here. There are a lot of activities to do here like Whale watching, Yoga at the Beach, Kangaroo and Koala Spotting. The whole journey to this place took for about 2 hours which included one hour of ferry time. For more information click on this

Moreton Island (Tangalooma resort):
Brisbane is surrounded by beautiful islands. The Tangalooma resort has an island of its own. One can stay at the resort or do a day cruise. We took the basic day cruise, which lets you cover a lot of activities like Pelican Feeding, access to the beach activities and pools along with a free meal and drink. There are different types of cruises you can opt-in like desert safari cruise, whale watching cruise etc. At the end of the coast, there is a beautiful ship wreck and you can snorkel to the place from the bay. I have very few pictures of the place as we did a lot of beach activities. But do visit the place for a fun day out. Click on this
link for more information and booking.

There was so much to do in Brisbane but the weather was nasty most of the days so couldn't head to the Sunshine Coast or Byron Bay, which is closer to Brisbane than Sydney.
Gold Coast:
We picked a bad time to visit Gold Coast as it was rainy and cloudy. This made it almost impossible for us to sunbathe or chill by the beach. But we managed to have a ball.
Gold Coast is the sin city of Australia. The best way to enjoy the night life is to register yourself at the Wicked Party. You can do this online
here or in person. You will find a counter for nightclub information right next to the Surfer's Paradise Beer garden. They give you great offers to visit multiple clubs and bars with minimal charges. And hey, they organize hen and buck parties too. So fun!
If you are in the mood to wine & dine or do high tea, visit the Palazzo Versace hotel near the Main Beach which has a spectacular view of the beautiful Australian sky as a backdrop in their restaurant Le Jardin. You can make a reservation online as well.

Things we missed out doing but come highly recommended:
1) Dine at Betty's Burger in Surfers Paradise. Rated as one of the best burger joints in Australia.
2) Visit the Coolangatta beach: Surfer's paradise is a commercial beach. Visit Coolangatta for beautiful blue waters and picturesque views of the Gold Coast
3) Surf at Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast: Pick a sunny day to go here obviously. Never found the importance of checking the weather until now coz every day is a sunny day here in India.
4) Visit Sunshine Coast and Byron Bay if you are a beach person. Do not miss. I would definitely go back to cover that.
I hope you find my tips useful during your next trip to Brisbane and Gold Coast. This beautiful trip would not have been possible without my friend, Alinda.
Thank you for dropping by.
xoxo
