MorocconOil Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
How have you been? I am doing my first beauty review. Since a lot of you guys have been asking me about beauty products, I figured it is best to start up a review section. I hope this is helpful to all of you guys looking to buy this product.
I started using this product a few months ago when I got highlighting done. When you color your hair, it is important to use color-friendly products so that your hair does not discolor too soon too or get too dry on limp, sulfate free shampoos being one of them.
Why use sulphate-free shampoos?
Sulfate free shampoos are more gentle on your hair and are less likely to dry out your hair than sulfate shampoos. Normally most shampoos contain sulfates because they get through dirt and oil. But they are a bit too harsh because they dry out necessary moisture from your scalp hence making it dry. Also, they are more likely to wash of color from your hair. Sulfates are not bad for your hair, just that it makes it too dry. If your hair is colored or too frizzy, this is the kind of shampoo you should pick. Frizzy hair gets worse because normal shampoos make your hair cuticles too dry. Also if you shampoo your hair daily, get a no sulfate shampoo. So before you shop, check the ingredients in your shampoo if you want to pick one. Few shampoos available around here are Himalayas Herbal Shampoo, BodyShop banana shampoo and Rainforest range, Johnsons Baby shampoo, The Organix range of argan Oil, Coconut Milk and Macadamia Oil shampoos and the one I am reviewing.
The MorocconOil Moisture Repair Shampoo and conditioner contains antioxidant-rich argan oil, reconstructive keratin and is sulfate, phosphate, and paraben free. This is specially created for colored and damaged hair. It claims to rebuild damaged hair and restore elasticity moisture and shine.
So I used this shampoo for almost two months. Both the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and the scent lingers in your hair for quite some time. It also removed oil from my hair in one or two washes(I normally oil my hair once a week). Gradually, the colored parts of my hair started to get dry and I just went ahead with it since that is normal. Although it made my hair look thick, it also got all of my hair really dry and the shine was completely lost. The whole point "for shiny hair" as mentioned in the inscriptions were completely lost. The combination of both of these was just not working for me. Sometimes I used the shampoo with a conditioner from another brand, and the results were a little better than the worst! I work out daily, and when I work out my hair got dryer and frizzier. Even my hair stylist mentioned it out to me that my hair had drastically gotten worse. About time I stopped using it.
- smells amazing and stays for a while.
- contains argan oil
- sulfate, phosphate and paraben free.
- packaging is compact.
- Dries out your hair
- Does nothing at all
- moisture is lost
- you can substitute with plain water
The shampoo is priced at Rs.1530 and so is the conditioner which is extremely pricey for what is does, that is, nothing. If you still want to buy it, it is available at Nykaa 😁
Rating : ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
Would not buy it again. Even if they half the price.
