Timeless Fashion - A Women's Day Special

Happy Women's Day! I am dedicating this post to all of you fabulous women out there. The ones who are tending to the household , the ones who go through a 9 to 5 job or maybe even more, the ones who manage to come home and still whip something up to place on the table, the ones who are pursuing their dreams, breaking the rules and living a life of their own choice. To each and every woman out there, you are special, unique and a reason for someone to smile today.
When you are working and also meeting up people later, it makes it impossible for you for find the time go back home to wear something else. This post is all about how to style one outfit for two different occasions.
Look 1: The first look is an on duty 9 - 5 styling. This is how I would wear this outfit if I had to head to work or attend meetings. I am wearing this silk wrap dress by AllSaints in camel. The neck has cowl-like layers but doesn't create a flap and isn't too deep. However, the silk in this is super delicate and can cause creases easily. I am wearing a double breasted trench coat by Espirit in the same hue.
Accessories were minimal, I just wore a Stardust bracelet by Swarovski. Heavy makeup is really not a good call in a working atmosphere. We do not want to distract anybody with our bright red lipstick or our glittering neon eyeshadow. I went with earthy tones of eyeshadow and a delicate liner. Let your skin breathe, I would suggest wearing tinted moisturizer or BB cream instead of foundation which can make you look cakey by the end of the day. I am wearing Venus by Huda Beauty liquid lipstick topped with a clear gloss and a hint of bronzer on my cheeks.

Look 2: I am styling the same outfit for a night out or dinner and drinks. I totally went for the gold glow with it. Gold stilettos,  a gold wallet and a lot of bling on my neck. This multilayered chain is a buy from Aldo Accessories. I wore my plain gold rings which are all a part of a ring set from H&M.

I opted for a dramatic smokey eyes and brown to taupe ombre lips. You have to believe me when I say that I achieved this smokey eye just by blending in and buffing black eyeshadow on top of the existing eyeshadow from the morning look. I achieved this Ombre lip by applying a dark brown liquid lipstick( in this case, True Brown K by Kylie) and applying a nude lipstick on top and diffusing it towards the sides. Keep repeating this until you see an obvious difference between the center and edges of your lips. Ombre lips make your lips appear fuller. You can achieve it using cream lipsticks as well, but the gradient is not so prominent and is easily smudgeable. I will soon come up with a tutorial on the same look because that's way easier than explaining this way. What do you guys think? :)
