Flora and Fauna
I love chintz. So I attended the Spicy Sangria Exhibition in Bangalore during the Easter weekend and came across this beautiful designer Sajeda Lehry and her collection named 'Seams'. The collection was mostly fusion wear. The best part was I could customise this outfit. This lehenga was an instant love. I have developed a deep love towards pale blue. Needless to say, this particular one caught my eye.The top is embroidered with pearls and alternating crystals. It also comes with a teal netted shawl with pearls. I preferred to not wear the shawl here coz I was going for a look which doesn't look completely traditional. You can order the look online through the link given here. This look is featured in Look Book 5 - Page 2 on the site.
I wore Prerto jewels with my Seams Lehenga. The earrings were danglers from the limited edition Sea Collection from Prerto. It is available here. The hand harness is a perennial piece and I have worn it with most of my festive outfits.
I decided to go with wine lips, I have used the Huda Beauty lip contour in Famous to achieve this. I am HUDA obsessed, and the lip contour is her best invention till date. You can use this contour stick like a lipstick and completely fill your lips and it stays put for a good 8 hours without smudging or lightening. It really lives up to the hype! It is available here. For the face, I used this technique called Strobing. This technique was popularised by Kim Kardashian and her super popular make-up expert Mario Dedivanovic. The tutorial is out on Youtube. Click here to have a look. Strobing is the level 2 for contouring, strobing is mainly about highlighting the face unlike contouring which does the opposite. This is so much easier compared to contouring and the best part is you do not need a lot of products to master this technique. All you need is a highlighter(or two) and a good brush. The picture below shows you all the key points on your face that needs to be highlighted. I have used the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze for highlighting my brow bones, cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. This is usually done after foundation and contouring(if needed). The result is a glowing dewy finish perfect for the upcoming season.
Special thanks to my friend Kaushik Shetty who did a splendid job on clicking and editing pics. He was amazing. Trying out something different. Hope you like it. See you next week! Shall be back with a diwali post. Till then,
xx
