Styling Priyanka Kaneria

Hi guys, pleased to feature one of my friends from London, the baby Mama, who still looks like a teenager herself, Mrs Priyanka Kaneria Padalia. This pretty lil thang found the time from her busy schedule to come all the way to Udupi to star for this post.

We styled the entire look is based on derby fashion. The hat says it all. In derby fashion, not wearing a hat to the party is more like wearing jeans for a formal occasion. The fascinators are a hot new trend among derby hats these days. It is a small disc like feathery hat which is secured to your hair with a clip. One thing about wearing these hats is that you need not accessorise heavily, the focus should simply be on the hat. The dress worn for this event can be a bright sundress or a simple strapless dress or a suit. The dress should not be too flowy, draped or lacey. Tea length dresses go pretty well with hats. Like I said, the focus should mainly be on the hat. Priyanka wore a flowery shealth dress picked up at Debenhams.

The hair was tied up as a bun. I divided the hair into sections and twisted each portion to make a bun. Pretty proud of my work here. ;) The make up was kept simple as well, I used different shades of pink on the lips and cheeks. The lips are the shade Violet Electra from Estee Lauder Matte Lip Collection.
Inspite of the rules of derby dressing, I accessorised her with a studded necklace from Zara. Necklace was simple and kind of camouflaged with the dress. The attention didn't drift away too, which was just what I wanted. The dainty rose gold watch was the only other accessory.

Must admit, I have never been to a derby game or remotely know what it is all about. But sure love the fashion and follow it religiously. Alternatively you can pull this look off for a bright summery formal day event. That way we get to wear fun hats too!

Simple white court shoes and the round bag completed the look. We had the shoot at End point, where I had one of my first shoots. Love Debsourabh's work on this one. Sorry for the delayed post. See y'all next week!
