Crop Tops and Palazzos
The best thing about the place I live, Udupi, is there is no such thing called winter season. But I do miss wearing jackets and boots and the whole winter vibe. So on a warm day in January, I wore a Crop top with a high waisted palazzo that have been my favourite comfort clothing for the last few months. I wore this to an outing with friends after the shoot, keeping it casual. This high flare dotted palazzo pants are oh so light and cozy that I end up wearing it every other time, whether its a movie date or food pick up time, this is my no brainer comfy pants ;) I got this from Lifestyle from the Code brand section and it cost me only Rs. 1490/- which I think is a total bargain. And since it is blue, it seems to match with almost every top I own. Or may be I’m so in love with it I just don’t seem to realise that it doesn't match with everything ;) I wore it with a mango cropped t-shirt, you can find a similar one here.
When you say street style, all I can think of is junk jewellery. Well, mine wasn’t exactly junk. I got the turquoise necklace from Forever 21 at the Infinity mall, Mumbai. It was extremely pretty and also the last piece! So I quickly grabbed it like an animal, like literally with my tongue-out and my eyes rolling. The set of long chains are from mango as well. The rings are from Accessorize as anyone can guess. I got these from Chennai. Let me tell you one thing about Chennai, it is a very underrated city when it comes to shopping non-indian clothes. Trust me on this, when I’m in Bangalore or Mumbai, especially during sale times, I need to literally hunt to find something I like and mostly end up with nothing. But Chennai is not the same, it is the place to storm to whenever it is sale season. Whether it is Zara or Mango or Accessorize them seem to have the best collection somehow.
Along with the rings, I wore my white ceramic Gc Watch which is very close to my heart since this is one of the first things I bought when I got my first pay check 5 years ago. For this look, I chose to wear a Jimmy Choo Vanchetta Gladiator Flats in Tan and a brown suede messenger slouchy messenger bag from Promod I use all the time!
As for the face, I chose to keep it very light, just some eye pencil and my current favourite from the Chanel Rouge Coco Collection called Rouge Orage. It is a rusty pink, almost brown perfect winter shade thats never too much or too little for any occasion.
So to summarize my looks :
Crop Top and studded longchains: Mango
Palazzos : Lifestyle India
Turquoise Necklace : Forever 21
Bag : Promod
Rings: Accesorize
Watch : Gc
Shoes : Jimmy Choo
